Preliminary policy. This describes the equyt.com marketing website as it operates today, while Equyt is pre-product. It will be expanded and reviewed by legal counsel before we collect any customer or financial data.

What we collect

The website does not have user accounts or sign-up forms, and it does not ask you to submit personal information through any form. Specifically:

When you email us using the contact links, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
Technical data. Our infrastructure provider (Cloudflare) automatically processes standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, in order to serve and secure the site.
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site (for example, which pages are viewed, approximate location, and device and browser type). This is collected using cookies and similar identifiers set in your browser.

How we use information

We use the limited information above only to respond to your inquiries and to operate, maintain, and secure the website. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and similar identifiers in your browser to measure how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. You can prevent analytics cookies using your browser's privacy controls, a tracking blocker, or Google's opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Your light/dark theme preference is stored locally in your own browser and is never transmitted to us.

Third parties

A few service providers help us run the site and may process limited data in the process:

Cloudflare serves and protects the site (CDN, DNS, and security), processing technical request data.
Cloudflare Web Analytics measures aggregate site traffic without using cookies and without tracking you across sites.
Google Analytics (provided by Google) measures website traffic and usage on our behalf, and may receive your IP address and cookie identifiers. See Google's privacy policy for how Google handles this data.
Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on the site; your browser requests these from Google, which may receive your IP address as part of that request.
Email forwarding delivers messages you send us to our inbox.

Data retention

We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain our records, and no longer than necessary.

Your choices

You can contact us at [email protected] to ask what information we hold about you or to request its deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Equyt evolves, particularly as we move from website to product. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above.
